Let’s talk about Seezeit Mensa and Cafeteria. It would be really sauciness to not like here. I loved it as an international Turkish Student. First of all, they cook meals from all around the world. They have a lot of options such as vegan, soup, salad bar, bakery bar, side dishes bar, two different main dishes, seezeit-teller bar, pizza bar, pasta bar…I really admire their achievements and devotion. I recommend a Focaccia sandwich for breakfast. My favorite main dishes are vegetable patties and lasagna. Don't forget to try the German-style potato salad from the salad bar. You can find 10-15 different sauces near the salad bar. I will miss here!

The cafetaria complex is spread over two storeys, and offers a fairly wide variety of meals. All menus are displayed on screens at the site. The main food counter (Mensa) has veg and non veg options for the menu of the day, and one can opt for small or large portions. Usually pastas. There is an option for salad box with bread too. One can pick up extras such as packed juice, muffins, pastry, etc. along the food line. The grated cheese, green garnish and hot sauce are free. Payment is done at the end of the food line. The tellers/platters are in a separate counter. They are set platters with usually large portions, and have veg and non-veg options such as meatloaf, batter fried fish, chicken nuggets etc. with sides such as cooked vegetables, fries, salad and yoghurt. The salad bowl comes in a proper reusable lunch box with lid, therefore one has to pay about 5euros extra, which will be refunded after returning the box. The food is wholesome, prices reasonable, the view from upstairs is great, and staff are very friendly. I'm quite grateful to one particular lady staff who works in the cash counter who was tremendously helpful and sweet. The cafetaria can get really crowded at peak hours. So it's advisable to go a little early. There's also another restaurant downstairs that serves a different exotic menu. Besides the cafetarias, there's a bakery shop (Seezeit café), and several vending machines for sandwiches, beverages, chocolates and other snacks around same area. The apple cinnamon muffin at Seezeit café is marvelous. It tends to fly off the shelf quickly too. And on two occasions they gave a blueberry muffin by mistake instead of my apple cinnamon order (which I found out at home and felt quite sad:( I love it that much!). The chochip cookies are excellent too...rich, soft and chewy. There's also a well stocked stationary shop next to the Seezeit café.
